At a glance

  • This plan assumes three usable days in Udaipur, excluding the intercity journey.
  • Group nearby visits together and keep the final day flexible.
  • Use quoted costs and your room-sharing basis to calculate the total.

Set the arrival and departure boundaries

The example below assumes you have most of three days in the city. If you arrive in the afternoon or leave early on Day 3, remove a block rather than squeezing every visit into less time. For a Delhi NCR group, confirm whether the advertised trip begins in Delhi or at Udaipur, and whether the intercity journey is included.

Ask for the stay's exact location before paying. An old-city property may support walking visits but needs a clear luggage drop arrangement. A stay farther out may have more gathering space while adding local transfers. Compare those practical details, not just a room photograph or the word 'lakeview'.

Day 1: the old city and Lake Pichola

Group City Palace, the Jagdish Temple area and Lake Pichola into your first full sightseeing block. Rajasthan Tourism lists these among Udaipur's attractions. Choose how much time the group wants inside a museum or palace, then leave room for lunch and walking between visits. Check current entry arrangements and individual ticket inclusions before buying.

A boat ride can be optional, subject to operation, tickets and the group's interest. Confirm the boarding point and what the ticket actually includes. Anyone skipping it should have an agreed meeting place and a worthwhile alternative. Keep the evening in the same broad area instead of adding another cross-city outing.

Day 2: gardens, another lake and time together

Use the second day for Saheliyon Ki Bari and Fateh Sagar, with a lunch break and a relaxed evening. Discuss the order with the local driver using your property location and the day's access conditions. The point of this grouping is to avoid repeatedly crossing between the old city and other parts of town.

For a social group, leave a genuine shared-time block: a long meal, a conversation at the stay or a short walk people can join at their own pace. Do not fill every open hour with a paid attraction. Ask about steps, walking surfaces and vehicle drop-off points if any member needs a lower-effort plan.

Day 3: one optional outing or a slow finish

Sajjangarh, also known as the Monsoon Palace, can be considered for the remaining day after checking current visitor arrangements and transport. Make it conditional on the time available. If departure is early, stay near the accommodation and finish the old-city or lake visit you had to shorten.

Adding Mount Abu turns this into a different trip with a substantial intercity transfer. Use our Udaipur and Mount Abu planning guide to compare that choice. Three days do not become more valuable simply because another destination name appears on the itinerary.

Per-person trip total = individual costs + your share of group costs + optional spending + your contingency. Record the quote date and what is excluded. If a package bundles rooms and transport, do not add those components again. This is a worksheet, not a current rupee-price estimate.

Make quotes comparable before choosing

Send the same dates, party size, room-sharing preference and arrival point to compare like-for-like arrangements. Ask whether a solo joiner pays for a shared room, a single room or an unmatched bed, and what happens if the group size changes. Confirm the operating company, departure status and payment terms.

For RARA, share whether you want Udaipur only or a longer combination trip. Ask for the full available plan and itemized exclusions so the budget reflects the holiday you intend to take.
