What is confirmed for 2026?
The official state tourism calendar, checked on 6 October 2026, gives 17-24 November as the fair window. This guide has not verified a day-by-day 2026 programme. The overall dates do not establish when a particular competition, performance or livestock activity will take place.
Use the current Jaipur-Pushkar route guide if you also want Jaipur. A general sightseeing itinerary and a fair-led trip need different time allocations. Avoid making a non-refundable booking around an old event poster.
Count the Delhi journey separately
Choose your actual arrival point before deciding how many nights to buy. Rajasthan Tourism identifies Ajmer as a rail gateway for Pushkar; the onward road transfer is a separate part of the journey. A train arriving in Ajmer does not put you at your Pushkar hotel. Confirm your service, arrival date and transfer together.
For a two-day visit, aim to arrive before the first main activity you care about, with time for luggage and check-in. If arrival is late, treat that date as a travel day. Keep the departure day light, especially if your return begins at a station outside Pushkar.

This is an original planning outline, not the organizer schedule. If the group mainly wants photography and culture, it may prefer two substantial daytime blocks over a long checklist of attractions. If worship is the priority, build the visit around appropriate local guidance and access arrangements.

Ask for the property name and map location before paying. “Near Pushkar” is too broad to judge convenience. A cheaper room can become a poor fit if every short outing requires a separate vehicle.
Visit respectfully and choose activities deliberately
Pushkar is a living religious town as well as a fair destination. Follow local instructions at the lake and temples, leave paths clear and ask before photographing worshippers, residents or traders. Keep footwear and clothing choices appropriate to each site.
Animal rides and performances do not have to be part of your visit. Decide in advance what your group wants to participate in, and leave room for anyone to opt out. Do not approach animals or enter working areas for a photograph without permission.
Before confirming your fair trip
Match four items in writing: the activity and date you want, your arrival and return services, the named accommodation, and the local transfer plan. Then compare meals, admission where applicable, room sharing and cancellation terms. No price or departure in this guide is a confirmed RARA offer.
